Subject: Login Help, Job Board, & Professional Dev/nt Events
Dear Colleagues:
I hope your new term or preparations for winter/spring are going well.
I wanted to alert you to a few new resources that we've established:
1) We've set up a "LOGIN Help" page on the Gateway (see link on the left,
http://etudes-ng.fhda.edu) to help your students find login information for
your institution, along with links to your student help desk or person, if
available. More institutions will provide us with this information as they
are set up. Please refer your students to this page if they can't log on.
2) We recently established a "Job Board" in the Users Group forums, which is
quite active. Many online instructors have found additional assignments at
other institutions within the ETUDES Consortium, and others have posted
openings. As I try to avoid sending out too much email to you (I know you
get more than enough), please check it often if you are interested.
3) At the suggestion of one of your colleagues, Jerry Cellilo, I just set up
a new forum in the Users Group for "Professional Development Events." If you
know of any conferences, seminars, events, or other professional
opportunities that would be of benefit to your colleagues, please post them
there. Jerry will post information on CETC (California Educational
Technology Collaborative) shortly. It will be a great conference for online
teaching and learning and you to meet each other!
